Today 16 July 2021 there was a small demonstration to explain to citizens what the new project in the area of Largo Mazzoni and its surroundings envisages. Fewer trees and less oxygen for everyone, if the Municipality will proceed to cut the trees adjacent to the Tiburtina station. With an ongoing climate crisis it is not acceptable for projects to be carried out in which trees they have grown are felled 40 to the 100 years to make way for new aisles, pavements, that is concrete and asphalt.

Today Ama di Rocca Cencia plant: event in progress. Do not imagine the stench that exists in this area. There are a lot of people, many committees, associations attending this public meeting. A march from Snia to the Capitol was organized to demand the transformation of the former Snia area in full into a natural monument, as also suggested by the President of Roma Natura, Gubbiotti. E’ The fabulous honey was distributed by subscription “Millefiori May 2021”. We talked about Ailanthus and Robinia, two trees whose nectar is widely used for honey.
Saturday 8 in May it was exciting to take part in the walk from the park of Centocelle to the Pratoni di Torre Spaccata. Find out about the existence of Roman villas, of medieval settlements and seeing wonderful nature with colorful flowers was like a journey into another dimension. Special thanks to Urio Cini who promoted and organized this initiative together with all the others. Thanks to Patrizia Gioia, to Antonio Citti and to all those who have told very interesting facts, memories and curiosities about the history of these parks. The Pratoni are at risk of overbuilding, are expected 4 km of buildings in an area that is a very important ecological corridor of East Rome. Look at the photos, look at the flowers and do not miss the opportunity to walk in them during this flowering period! We will organize still other walks: associations, committees and citizens gathered together to protect nature. Please, share with friends, because many people do not know these places at all.
Today 2 may 2021 we were more than 50 to work with enthusiasm on the creation of the first nursery of the RiforestiAmo Roma Metropolitan area project. At the La Mistica estate in Rome we prepared the phytocells with soil and seeds. It's a start and we'll be back to get the job done: we will grow the future saplings that we will plant in Rome. True ecosystems, forests with trees, shrubs and flowers. Not fair of the parquet.

May 1st at Snia, zone Largo Preneste, to demonstrate against the massacre, against the destruction of trees and greenery in the part owned by the builder Pulcini in the former Snia area, between via di Portonaccio, Largo Preneste and Via Prenestina. Many people and associations flocked from all over Rome to participate in popular mobilization.
Today 5 February 2021 numerous associations took part in the environmental rally at the Tiburtina station. Many of them met for the first time and exchanged ideas, reflections, tips on how to collaborate. Many interventions, who have shown an interest in the protection of trees, whatever the neighborhood of origin. There were associations from all the districts of Rome. Because this is a struggle that concerns all and only united, together we will be able to have great results! Today 5 December 2020 the demonstration against the project of the Municipality of Rome which involves the demolition of large trees to make way for a project that is yet another pour of asphalt and concrete took place in Tiburtina. The municipal administration defends itself by saying that the trees are sick or unsafe, which is absolutely false, but on the other hand they have no arguments to cling to. The only question is that the project is not well done, it has never involved citizenship, provides less green than the current one, does not include any cycle path. A project that with a minimum of consultation with citizens could become a historic project, of which the Movement 5 Stars could have boasted. No, they preferred to close the construction sites in time, before the election, even if they are aware of doing it with a bad project. E’ true, as a director of the Movement told us 5 Stars, the project was not theirs, if they found it and, if they had to modify it, there was the almost certainty of not being able to keep the construction site going, which would have been bureaucratically blocked due to the modification, with probable penalties to be paid to the concessionaires of the works. In light of all this, the M5S has preferred to tear down the causeway and now prefers to cut down the trees and deliver a bad final project to the Romans. And one of the 5 stars what it was? Environment!
Many associations came from different neighborhoods and participated. This fact is very positive and shows the greater interest of citizens in recent years in the aspects of public green in Rome.
