Who are the Brigate Verdi?

We deal with the environment and we promote sustainable social practices for a society that does not indiscriminately exploit the resources of our planet and that is more attentive to the needs of the community. Politicians in recent decades have only made small talk, but concretely nothing has changed: climate change is advancing and no turnaround has been initiated, not even starting from the simplest things. This political class either doesn't have the mentality to do it or has too many private interests to defend. For this we need to create awareness among people: once aware, people will gain strength and will be able to really demand a change, even by no longer voting for those who have shown little interest in the environment.
Individuals realize themselves collaborating with others, exchanging views, talking, using spaces and promoting knowledge and socialization initiatives.
We always need new forces, of new activists, of new ideas. join us!
Our commitment concerns the environment, natural farming, the reduction of consumption and the indispensable reduction of waste, bicycle mobility, the recycling of materials, environmental education in the schools, the reduction of land use, forestation of urban and rural areas, the promotion of an independent information.
One of our main activities is planting trees in neighborhoods, because the tree is life, beauty, fresh air and serenity: in doing so, we involve local residents in order to not neglect or abandon the tree, that needs constant cares, especially in the first years. We are currently moving towards the creation of urban forests. Together with other associations and citizens, we have created a forest nursery, whose trees and shrubs will be used to reforest urban areas.
Changing the society is possible only improving gradually our own habits, our behaviours. Improving is eventually is a fascinating journey you can do on your own or together with the others, because, as it's said, united we stand, divided we fall.

We also carry out other activities:
1 – we promote small farmers in order to reduce the purchase of industrial food in supermarkets;
2 – we inform people about the opportunity to recycle their own computers and electronic components and devices;
3 – we distribute a list of stores that sell , food and no-food loose products , to avoid buying more bottles and packaging;
4 – we manufacture concrete slides beside the sidewalks to overcome architectural barriers that people in wheelchairs and parents with strollers often encounter;
5 -we do promote to install bicycle racks in the schools, beside supermarkets' entrances, and libraries';
6 – We distribute a list of small independent bookstores and second-hand bookstores, in order to support small independent publishing and in order to promote the circulation of culture.
