21 March 2016 Lucera – Troia

The morning Giuseppe took me to see the library of Lucera, really beautiful and with the frescoed. Breakfast and then I started. It was hot today and this made more annoying the trip. Also the landscape is not big deal. I arrived in Troy, that is very nice. I found accommodation after several rounds. The Comboni missionaries they promised me that I would have hosted. When I showed up there did not know it was me and they sent me in the building across the street, the former convent of San Domenico, turned into a Multipurpose Center with workshops, study room, music and language courses, run by an Association of boys. There is also a hostel. This hostel created Michele del Giudice, a Walker who became from Mont Saint-Michel in France to Monte Sant'Angelo and then from Monte Sant'Angelo to Jerusalem. It is not that we are talking about the Sunday Walker! He arrived half an hour later (lives in Foggia) and when he heard that actually I should've stayed by the Comboni missionaries, concluded that perhaps they had not understood well. So I went back by the missionaries and in fact I was told that my room was ready. I said goodbye to Michael del Giudice and I moved. The Comboni missionaries invited me to dinner and then they told me that at 22 They closed the door. So I took a ride from 20 at 22 for the city and I met some guys who I have told us a little’ with anecdotes and history of the city. I also tasted the passionata, a sweet very good by a local bakery on main street, Award-winning pastry competitions.
